Answer #1

One of the major issue pertaining to selection found in Alibaba is the quality of applicants and the HR was not able to filter out the unskilled applicants which has led to a lot of hires which were not appropriate for the job, this created and issue after 2-3 months of training when it was realized that they were not the right set of people to work at that particular job role. This is not a common issue but should be handled with care as it is the employees who make up the organisation and it becomes very important to hire the right set of candidates.
