Is java good for developing game? If yes, what are advantages. If no, what are disadvantages. Or both? Which one weighs more?

According to my research that i have done, java is not that much useful and supportive for game development because java is not supported by most of the engines. java is a great platform for server but client side development of the game should not be better. The most commonly used language for developing games is c++ and python as well because it gives the abilities of usage of hardware and software.
