What are the limitations of meta analysis in scientific research?
Just in general, what are the issues with this methodology?
As research methodology meta analysis has benefits and limitations that must be acknowledged in its application. Meta analysis cannot improve the quality or reporting of the original studies.other limitations came from misapplication of the method,such as when study diversity is ignored or mishandled in the analysis or when the variability of the population the quality of the data are not addressed.
Four critical issues with this methodology
* Identification and selection of studies
* Heterogeneity of results
* Availability of information
* Analysis of the data

How can we tell the difference between scientific methodology being applied versus just general ideas about "research" being conducted?
When a meta-analysis summarizes articles of a scientific literature, it can assess the effect sizes of various studies, but it is inappropriate to assess the level of significance of studies. True False
1. What was the research question for the meta-analysis? 2. Why was the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) included in the selection criteria? 3. What was the final sample size? 4. What were the results of the meta-analysis? 5. What is the personal critique of the meta-analysis? PLEASE TYPE :) thank you PsycINFO, SciELO, and Scopus. ProQuest Dissertation&included the items specifically related to the internal Thesis and Google Scholar were used to find gray litera lidity of the study. We used...

what is the difference between these two types of systematic review (meta-analysis and meta-synthesis)?
The quantitative research methodology is the single most scientific and reliable approach to investigation”. Critically discuss this statement with the use of supporting examples.
What is one disadvantage of a meta-analysis? Meta-analyses attempt to combine studies of different types which may have been done at different times and may define the population of interest and/or the variables in slightly different ways. Meta-analysis may only be performed on cross-sectional data, and so cannot fulfill the conditions for determining causality, such as whether the supposed cause preceded the supposed effect in time. Meta-analysis cannot contain both experimental studies and observational studies, and so give incomplete information...
