I shall certainly acknowledge this class for granting me knowledge that can help churn a successful leader in me and thereby make myself worthy of a career in business. I strongly believe that leadership helps to achieve the organizational goals in an efficient manner and this class has educated me with various aspects of leadership personalities and styles that I could opt for. Hence this shall help me retrospect my personality in a major way and identify the styles of leadership that shall be most appropriate to me. Moreover, this class has also taught me how to regard the Business ethics in an Organizational set up and how the same shall have a bearing upon my personality. Together put, leadership and ethical values that have been taught to me, shall provide me a roadmap of my future career in a significant way. I shall go for the job opportunities that match my skills sets and values instead of the ones that conflict my area of interests thus.

Besides, there have been few specific things that I have learned throughout this course. Those are as under:

  • Leadership: The Leadership competency model is the most important to the organization’s success because it is the leader’s visions and foresight, the skills of self-management as well as development that are essential to determine the success of an organization. Effective Leadership model can help enforce an ethical climate in an organization. In order to ensure the organization gets a competitive edge, there is a need for the leaders to go out of the way through its leadership competency to inculcate such skills in the employees that can essentially guide them to realize the organizational goals.
  • Ethics: Personal ethics aids in adapting to business ethics in a more acceptable manner. Personal ethics guide our personal actions in our daily lives. However, business ethics are more universal in nature in terms of its application to the field of business and somewhere, there could be a coinciding of the personal ethics to that of the business ethics.
  • Quality: Primarily, given any activity in an organization, there could be a systematic measurement and comparison of the same against the standard procedures undertaken by the administration and operation units of the organization, process monitoring as well as the association of the feedback loop pertaining to such an activity in order to ensure the prevention of errors in such an activity. Once this process is undertaken, it becomes relatively easier to evaluate which method of Quality Assurance and Quality control shall be most apt in the given situation. Quality is to be maintained in the Organization in terms of its offerings to the customers as well as in terms of treating its employees well in an Organization. Quality shall help an Organization withstand competition in the long run and hence to be adhered to.
