Human resource planning is the planning of utilization of human power available in the company and man power that needs to be brought into the company depending on the future forecasts. Only after human resource planning a company can plan it's activities and manage them. The objectives of human resource planning are goal , utilization of resources, meet future demands, job analysis and monitoring and control.

Human resource planning must be goal oriented and the planning of work allotment and recruitment must be in such a way that the goal is achieved which is very helpful for proper human resource management as the work proceeds with a proper plan.

The available manpower must be properly utilized before recruitment so that cost management is possible for the company . The planning of human resources must be made depending on the future forecasts so that no risk occurs in the process and no shortage of human resources will halt the resource management process. Also we need to be aware of the job requirements and the eligibility of the candidates required so that proper resource management is possible . We need to constantly monitor our human resources and make efforts to improve them so that effective resource management is done.
