For this discussion, you will utilize functions to provide a way to clear Python’s integrated development environment (IDLE) window. In your initial post, provide the function for achieving this task and explain the process of clearing the IDLE window. Discuss some challenges that you faced in accomplishing this task.

Final function which can be used to clear the Python IDLE window for python is:

  • clear = lambda : os.system('clear')

Note: This is a lambda function with clear name

  • callable using : clear() only

The os.system method allows you to run terminal commands on the system you are running on. So os.system('cls') tells Python to send the command cls to the terminal it is running in. cls is the command to clear the terminal of text on Windows. clear is the Unix equivalent command.

Problem faced: In getting the difference between ''cls" or '''clear'', and getting which one is correct for my system.
