El Nino- Southern Oscillation(ENSO) is an irregularly periodic variation in winds and the sea temperature over the pacific ocean and effecting the climate of tropics and subtropics.Where the warming phase is called El Nino and cooling phase as La Nina.The Southern Oscillation is the accompanying atmospheric component ,coupled with the change in sea temperature.Where El Ninon has high air pressure and La Nina has lower air pressure and last for several months.

Southern Oscillation is the atmospheric component of El Nino ,which is an oscillation in surface air pressure between the tropical eastern and the western pacific ocean.

The Madden-Julian oscillation, is the largest element of the intraseasonal variability in tropical atomphere discovered by Madden and Paul Julian.It is a large scale coupling between atmpospheric ciculation and tropical deep convection.Rather than standing pattern like ENSO this is travelling pattern that propagates eastwards.

All have effect on pacific ocean and change in tropical climate.
