Answer #1

Most accurate answer-

b. ATP-PC

ATP-PC / Phosphagen system is one of the 3 major energy supply and resynthesis pathways that work to provide energy to meet an organism's ATP demand. It uses creatine kinase and adenylate kinase reactions for energy regeneration, where creatine phosphate is used to reconstitute ATP after it’s broken down to release energy during short-ranged high-intensity activities like sprinting (lasting 8-10 seconds). This pathway is recruited at the onset of physical movements providing energy at an extremely rapid rate. However, the energy available for muscle contraction from this system is limited.

The phosphagen system produces AMP, an activator of enzymes for glycolysis which then recruits the glycolytic (Anaerobic) pathway. It occurs within the cytoplasm and produces ATP quite rapidly for activities requiring large bursts of energy over comparatively long periods of time (30 seconds to three minutes).

Oxidative system (Aerobic) occurs in the mitochondria when the electrons and protons from the previous 2 pathways are transferred to the mitochondria. It is used for lower-intensity activities requiring sustained energy production after the phosphagen and anaerobic systems have fatigued and have a slow rate of ATP production that is utilized over longer durations.
