Metabolism is organic & chemical processes happening inside the living organisms required in maintaining life. These chemical processes make us stay alive. The process helps in the conversion of our food into energy form.

Anabolic pathways need energy to synthesise molecules that are complex.

Catabolic pathways break down complex molecules into simple ones to produce energy for cell.

The 8 statements are :-

1) Every cell recieve nutrients.

2) Energy from catabolism of nutrients or light is needed for metabolism.

3) The energy is stored in ATP.

4) The cells catabolizes nutrients to produce the precursor metabolites.

5) Enzymes, ATP and the precursor metabolites are utilised in anabolic reactions.

6) Enzymes add ATP from the macromolecules.

7) cell growth occurs by gathering macromolecules.

8) One the cells have doubled in size, they reproduce.
