What do you believe causes harmful conflict in the workplace? Can this be avoided? If not, how can it be resolved without causing long-term damage to the relationships between team members?
One thing I believe that causes harmful conflict in the workplace is bad management.. For example, at one of my previous job a had a bad manager. He favored the male employees over the female employees. He would give the males mostly the morning shift so they can get off early and the females mostly got the evening shift. To add to this he also spoke to us poorly. This caused arguments between the female employees and the male employees. Because they started to feel like they could get away with a lot of things. This could of been avoided if he treated us equal and this also goes for long term damage. Because of his actions it caused long term damage even after he was fired.
