Answer #1

Social workers to consider the culture and subculture when working with families. This is so because they should have a knowledge base of their clients' cultures and be able to demonstrate competence in the provision of services that are sensitive to clients' cultures and to differences among people and cultural groups.Culture may affect how individuals cope with problems and interact with each other. They should be able to meet the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of the culture. The challenge for any social worker when it comes to working with family groups is to feel and understand the sensitivity of that group and then respond or use tactics to excel accordingly.
