The primers must attach to separated DNA at the target sequences so that the polymerase can build new DNA strands. Hi there, the correct answer is option b. dNTPs,

For amplification of both strands of DNA in PCR, primers, also known as short stretches of single stranded DNA are added so that they facilitate addition of bases complimentary to template by the use of enzyme polymerase. But for this to happen, we actually need the nucleotide bases which will be added to elongating primer, these nucleotide bases are nothing but "dNTPs", which are nucleoside triphosphates, meaning they have nitrogenous bases (A/T/G/C) attached to sugar, and three phosphates, which on binding to template, loses two of its phosphates.
