1. Describe 1 benefit of properly managing each of the 10 Knowledge Areas.

ANSWER: Each of the 10 Knowledge Areas are inter-related to one and other. The areas are Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quantity, Human Resource, Communication Risk, Procurement, Stakeholders. The knowledge mapping or proper managing of knowledge can help the manager visualize just how necessary these indicators are throughout the process. Every must have full knowledge of these areas while undertaking every project.

2. In your opinion which of the 10 Knowledge Areas is most confusing to describe? Explain your answer.

ANSWER: Identification of risks can be confusing as identifying opportunities and threats may not always fall in the correct place. Risks can occur even during the course of the project so it can be confusing at the later stage to be exact about your estimation.

3. In your own words, explain how much time a good project manager spends on each of the process groups and why? What does the of time spent on planning say about the skills of the project manager?

ANSWER: A research study has found that a project manager spends 2% of their time initiating 69% executing, 5% monitoring and controlling, 21% planning and 3% close projects. To have it done in a proper way most of the time should be spent on execution, followed by planning. The manager should not only keep on planning but should execute the plans to have better output.
