1. If Amazon’s digital marketing strategy does not turn out the way, it way expected to go, the strategy will not be able to strike a cord with the consumers. The consumers may not notice the advertising and promotion campaign of the company. In such a scenario, the consumers may start shifting to other brands as the switching cost to other brands is quite low. In such a scenario, the competitive hold of the company may get affected substantially. In such a scenario where digital marketing is not appealing the consumers, Amazon must conduct a root cause analysis to find out the primary reason behind this and come up with ways in which the same can be managed. The company will be required to think out of the box and come up with marketing strategy which will help it conquer its market position again.

2. A company, whose digital marketing strategy is quite lauded and appreciated by customers is Zappos. Zappos is a shoe based e-commerce company. The digital marketing of the company projects the in-depth research which they have done on market needs, and project the consumer requirements and how company fulfills the same, quite comprehensively. This strategy has made it the market leader in its industry.
