explain the two major processes that drive the normal functioning of the carbon cycle, and then discuss all ways in which humans have negatively impacted this cycle and how this has contributed to global warming. Include in this discussion how carbon has been stored over the thousands and millions of years. Describe several strategies you would have society take to reduce global greenhouse gases that incorporate plants. Plants must be included in this discussion.

Answer -

Two major Process that derive the normal carbon cycle are following -

1. Photosynthesis - it is anabolic process by which photosynthetic organism convert inorganic form of carbon (carbon dioxide)+ water into organic form (carbohydrates) with the help of light.

2. Respiration - It is a catabolic  process through which carbohydrate oxidize to form carbon dioxide and other compound .

Both process maintain the level of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.

Following are the ways that cause negative impact on carbon cycle -

1. Excessive use of fossil fuel results regularly increase in level of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.

2. Industrialization, urbanization, mining process thermal power plant also responsible for carbon dioxide production.

3. Use of automobiles etc.

4. Regularly cutting of plants. (Deforestation) .

Above ways cause negative impact on carbon cycle leads to contribution of global warming.-

Heating the earth surface due green house gases is known as global warming.

The gases are responsible for global warming is called green house gases. These are carbon dioxide, methane,  Nitrogen oxide, chlorofloro carbon etc.

These gases absorb Solar radiation and cause global warming.

All green house gases produce by burning of fossil fuels, industries,mining, use of automobiles etc.

Carbon has been stored over the thousands year inside earth's crust by the process of fossilization .In this process many plants and animals are fossilize under the earth layers.

Strategies to reduce the global warming -

1. Plantation.

2. Awareness about our environmental issues.

3. Cut the use of fossil fuels.

4. Reduction in deforestation..

5. Use of other energy sources like Solar energy etc.

6. Reduction in urbanization and industrialization.

Role of plants - By the process of photosynthesis carbon dioxide is used and it also help in production of oxygen.

It maintain the moisture in environment.
