According to Glenn Llopis, a conflict between manager and subordinates disrupts the team performance and in some cases, the entire performance of the organization is disrupted. Managers must reveal leadership skills in handling conflict in an effective manner within the team. Most of the managers avoid conflict as they view conflict as creating tension and affecting the harmony of the team but this perspective is dangerous as this builds internal disruption among employees and become rampant at a stage disrupting the entire organization activities. A healthy tension in the team is welcome but it has to be resolved before becoming chaos that disrupts the team or organization. An effective manager keeps peace at work during a rampant and untrustworthy environment. In this manner, the manager avoids negative reputation among the employees and earns their trust through leadership abilities. Pressure situations bring the best in a leader by handling them in an effective manner.
Manager and employee conflicts lead to uncomfortable situations and the productivity of the firm comes down drastically. Workplace coach suggests that establishing good human relations is the best approach to resolving conflicts between employees and managers. Human relations enable cooperation among the employees, build a safe workplace, friendly work environment, proper communication channels, employee retention, employee motivation and increase productivity as a whole.
