Memory in psychology so interesting because psychology deals with the cognitive processes a person have. Memory helps in learning about any things, situation or information as well as retention of previous information whenever required. Brain basically store the information in the form of memory so that it can be recalled at later stage if required.
The interesting thing about the brain is the ability to memorize the information, skills, and to recall the previous moment happened in the past. Memory plays a fundamental role in daily life. Memory is the power of brain which helps in information to be encoded, stored and retrieved.
For example:
A student basically learn about various types of events, books & skills during their student life. At later stage they recall that stored information to apply somewhere. Other example is like we can't use Internet everywhere for finding information about something, so at that time we have to recall and retrieve our past information and skills (cooking a particular dish doesn't required internet if we have cooked the same dish earlier).
