Standard calibrartion method used in quantative mathod approach in quantative analysis of analytical chemistry. This mathod is used only for certain calibrations or analysis. In this method standard is directly added to the batches of the sample. This method is only used for that calibration where matrix contributes to the signal.  

In this method we prepare many solutions of known amount of unknown solution with different amount of standard sample. Then The solutions diluted up to the equal volume. Then we analyse the sample. And this is based on the principle that the total concentration varies linearly. In this way calibration helps interferences.  

The interferences do not completely go away but approximately is used to be correct.
