I have a self introduction speech for oral communication class using Holidays as an analogy of self concept ( how I see myself), another Holiday as how other people see me, and the last Holiday as your ideal self. I would like to use Christmas (giving, family, excitement) as my self concept and Valentines Day (loving,nice??) as how other people see me and the 4th of July (energetic, firecracker, fun) as my ideal self. my speech out it has to be 2-3 minutes.

Something like The Christmas Holiday is tied closely with my self concept, or who I think I am. When I think of Christmas I think of presents and giving, memories and family, and the excitement of presents.

As we know, a speech is a verbal representation of our feelings and thought process, while a good speech includes social norms, understanding of human behavior and interests.

When you think about your feelings, you should include it with social norms and social understanding in your speech. Every person develops some good and bad habits and this speech you should formally talk about your all habits.

The most important thing is that your speech should not be philosophical or completely pragmatic, people who are listening to your speech did not come for participating in the teaching-learning process so always remember, speech should be brief, intellectual, humorous and funny too.

An informative speech is good for conferences and symposium but not for ordinary way. if you follow these points during the speech, it will attract audiences as well.
