Answer #1

I) Amines dissolve in HCl to form Quaternary ammonium salt.

ii) Carboxylic acid dissolve in NaOH to form sodium salt of Carboxylic acid.

III) Carboxylic acid dissolve in NaHCO3 to give sodium salt of Carboxylic acid and carbon dioxide.

IV) Phenol dissolve in NaOH to form sodium phenoxide ion.
