Answer #1

One of the most important things a teacher needs to do in order to create a welcome environment to children and their parents is to be open. This would be possible if the teacher is able to overcome certain biases such as race, ethnicity, religion, culture etc. Secondly, a teacher needs to include everyone and treat everyone equally without considering their learning styles and learning speeds. This would bring equality inside the classroom. It is important that the teacher mentors and guides students and discusses the progress with the parents in order to create a holistic approach to the child’s development. The teacher needs to be knowledgeable enough so that both the parents and the children would be able to get enough guidance. Finally, a teacher needs to arrange get together for the children and the parents in order to create a conducive environment where everyone is considered and everyone is given equal opportunities.
