An organism's phenotype is the
collective outcome of its genotype and the environment.
The environment can mask the phenotype of a genotype.
An environment can create a phenotype not caused by a genotype.
We can use this information to avoid
deleterious phenotypes.
1. For example, a person with diabetes can be treated with insulin
injections to avoid the harmful effects of elevated blood glucose
levels.
2. If a person is allergic to a particular food (Ex: Peanuts),
those foods should be avoided.
