Since both the man and woman have a homozygote recessive parent, they must have a recessive allele. Since neither is albino, they must be heterozygous. So,if A = normal melanin and a = lack thereof, then Aa x Aa gives a 1:2:1 genotype ratio of AA:Aa:aa, with aa as albino. The chance of the first child beingalbino is therefore ¼.

It is easier to visualize if you do a punnet square.
