Answer #1

Once threatened face cannot be restored is not an assumption of the face negotiation theory.

Face negotiation theory suggests that people have different facial expressions that are used in different settings. People would also feel embarrassed or threatened by certain facial expressions for which they are not aware of. The last option is not the assumption of this theory because any misunderstanding that arises due to certain behaviors could be settled right at a later time when people come to understand the importance of the differences in other cultures.
