Ambidexterity: This is defined as the ability to use the left hand and right hand with equal capability and competency level. There is no much difference between the usage of left hand and right hand by the people. Thus the interpretation is that a business can use either of their strategy or innovation equally for making the growth and success of their business. So the business incharge is able to explore strategy as one hand and innovation as another hand and explore both the concept equally upon requirement to get business benefits.

“Ambidexterity provides a way to balance innovation and strategy”. Yes we do agree with this statement that ambidexterity provides an approach to balance out the use of innovation and strategy in the business and we can use both equally upon requirement in business.

• Appropriate examples in favor of ambidexterity – Maruti Suzuki Car manufacturing explore ambidexterity for innovation and strategy both for capturing the Indian market. They use innovations to have better car design for the market as well they are following the strategy of low cost producer in the India market. Thus both innovation and strategy are being used by Maruti Suzuki for their car business in India market.

• Appropriate examples in against of ambidexterity – Apple they high focus on innovation and they do not worry for strategy. The innovation itself leads their business and they do not use strategy to that level.
