staff nurse attorneys, rape crisis centers and lawyers help deal
with the legal system to help survivors to their recovery process.

survivor information should be accurate with the full scope of
legal options and respecting their choice. many victims of sexual
violence are employed and they have a negative impact on victim
ability to do her job. Many sexual assault survivors lose their
job. survive ability to do her employment will delay their recovery
process, but she is having a need for money for medical care, other
expenses.
As a nurse provide support and ensure employment laws and
protection for available. once the employment issues identified
survivor and attorney must determine the strategy for the safety,
employment status, benefits and coverage from state and federal
laws for anti-discrimination, family medical leave, compensation
and tort remedies should be considered. Family and medical leave
Act provides all employees in immigration status. If none of the
laws protect the victims, nurses should provide support and do
safety measures for their needs. respect their feelings and make
them in the best position for their best. do a safety planning for
their food, stay location, contact numbers, place workplace
protection order under state and federal occupational safety and
health Act. Using federal and state laws obtain leave and arrange
for continuing treatment and unpaid leave and Job
guaranteed leave. laws provide protection for survivor including
collective bargaining agreements. Apply for Anitdirmination
statues, Title VII and the American with Disability Act that
prevent discrimination against employees, get remedies from
workplace insurance, crime victims compensation program, emergency
funds to broaden the scope of the survivor.
