Diabetes: It is a metabolic disease it is mainly happens due to the high levels of glucose (blood sugar) in the blood or inadequate production of insulin. Diabetes Types:

Type I diabetes: It is also known as juvenile diabetes, or insulin-dependent diabetes. It is the impaired production of insulin by the pancreas believed to be caused by destruction of cells of the islets of Langerhans.

Type II diabetes: It is happens due to the disorder in the metabolism characterized by elevated blood sugar levels. It mostly occurs in obese patients. Type 2 usually affects adults, but it can begin at any time in your life.

1. ANS: Therapeutic procedures for type 2 diabetes patient:

Ant diabetic drugs are used against the Diabetes. Diabetes is of two types. They are type I, and type II. Glipizide, pioglitazone, and sitagliptin are the drugs used for treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Metformin decreases the gluconeogenesis from the liver and also decrease the reabsorption of glucose from the intestine, while promoting the cellular glucose uptake. Glycemic control can be better achieved with the combination of drugs than with single antihyperglycemics.

The cause of hypoglycemia was recognized by guanidine. The treatment of diabetes in the medieval time was used by guanidine, which found in the plant extracts (Galega officinalis). The function of metaformin in the liver is to decrease gluconeogenesis and increase glucose in the muscle that gives an increase in the levels of glycogen synthesis.

The simulation of insulin release is due to glipizide which is a sulfonylurea formed by beta cells of the pancreas. Research shows that hepatic clearance of insulin can reduced by some drugs.

The combination of metformin and glipizide give metaglip. As mention previously, they are responsible to reduce blood glucose levels. In gluconeogenesis lactic acid is used by the liver. metformin prohibit Iiver gluconeogenesis, we conclude that lactic acid metabolism is blocked.

Byetta is used to treat type 2 diabetes. This medication helps your pancreas produce insulin more efficiently.Byetta is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Byetta is not for treating type 1 diabetes. Incretin is hormone that stimulates insulin secretion in response to meals..

2. ANS: Safety considerations for type 2 diabetes patient:
