Answer: The two forms of technology used in direct patient care are Electronic health record (EHR) systems which is used to check a patient’s history, diagnoses, treatments, medications, allergies, X-rays, test results and provide safety and privacy to the data. This makes a patient more relaxed as all the information are being saved at one place and chances of missing data is very low. Smartphones, tablets and other technologies which lead to the conversation between the patient as well as the healthcare professionals. Telehealth which provides a patient a comfortable zone as they do not need to stand in the queue or to wait for the physicians for the appointment as they can online take an appointment and also can have a conversation with the doctor about their problems. The drawback of EHR is that possibilities of error is more as during saving or entering the information one can make mistakes, there is also a matter of privacy concerned as these data are shared with the healthcare professionals so chances of leakage of data may occur.
