pre:

3. Explain procedure to the patient

5. Check residence volume of food

6. Start to give feed

Intra:

1. Continue to monitor the patient

2. Give geez according to the prescribed type of feed, volume etc

3. If the patient is having respiratory distress discontinue the feed.

Post:

1. Continue to place in high followers positions

2. Document it clearly include time, amount, type of feed etc.

Outcome:

1. Improvement in patient weight
