Answer: Osteomalacia can be explained as a softening of bones which is mainly caused by severe vitamin D deficiency and in adults it can also leads to fracture very easily. Marcus develops osteomalacia as he may be not getting enough calcium/vitamin D or there is low intake of the vitamins and calcium. This causes his bones to become more fragile thus causing osteomalacia. Vitamin D is necessary for the bone as like the calcium. Both build up our bones and make our bones strong.
