Describe the pathology of Parkinson's disease and how it adversely affects the normal functioning of the body

Answer: Parkinson disease is one of the most common neurologic disorders, a progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta which affects approximately 1% of individuals older than 55- 60 years and causing progressive disability that can be slowed, but it can not cure permanently. It includes symptoms such as an expressionless face, olfactory loss, mood disturbances, soft voice, dementia, sleep disorders, and autonomic dysfunction, including constipation, cardiac arrhythmias, and hypotension.

It affects the normal functioning of life as everytime the person suffering from the disease has to be observed and intensive care should be taken. There is a lot of problem to the patient as sometimes tremor occurs, loss of automatic movement etc. causes disturbance in the normal functioning of life.
