• How is the etiology of a disease linked to its pathophysiology? Can you provide an example to show how a different etiology produces different pathophysiological changes in the body?

Answer: The etiology of a disease linked to its pathophysiology as the cause of the disease lead to all the progress of its sign and symptoms as well as abnormalities in the body. The etiology is the main reason of disease Occurance.

Some of the examples are:

• The pathophysiology of the myocardial infarction where there is blockage in the arteries which causes obstruction in blood flow. The etiology for this is the build up of cholesterol, fats deposit in the artery of the heart. This cause obstruction in the blood circulation.
• Diabetes is a chronic conditions where the sugar levels in the blood gets increases. The etiology behind is that due to abnormalities in the pancreas to produce excess insulin to use the glucose causes this disease occurance.
