Diarrhoea is a condition where the faeces /stools are discharged from the bowels frequently and in a liquid form.

Simply we can sya it as a stage of loose motions.
Occassionaly most of the peoples are experiencing loose motions,but when the stage is lasts for more days or weeks ,that indicates a serious disorder,such as infection,inflammmatory conditions of the bowel or an other GI conditions that upset the gastro-intestinal system.

When the diarrhea lasts more than a couple of days or occurs frequently,it leads to a bigger problem to a stage of mortality. *From the hospital mannagement part itself theyhave to take initiatives to manage this condition *They have to properly allocate the staff and give adequate resources *Thus the health care provider can manange the condition in the early stage without any complications.
*Primary Prevention Hand washing is the most effective ways preventing the spread of viruses and bacteria that can cause loose stools Maintain adequate personal hygeine Dis-infection of utensils for cooking Adequate cleaning of house hold things,enivironment and proper sanitation *Seconadry prevention During the initial stage itself he/she has to manage the case Rule out the causes for diarrhea Prevent the spreading *Tertiary Prevention when the condition goes to an advanced stage where he/she needs advanced care
When dealing with the severe case of diarrhea when the patient can't take the decisions by own we can go for advanced directives We want to keep them for a bland diet |

*The Health care providers mainly includes a team of doctors,nurses and dietiticians are the responsible persons to manange the patient with the condition of diarrhea *We have manage the case as initially as possible thus the patient will not go to an advanced stage with out any complications *When a patient is suffering with diarrhea a prompt nursing management is very important *Other than medications inmost of the cases presents diarrhea are better tolerated with certain foods and liquids *As a nurse we have to help the patients to stick with this foods and fluids and help to encourage them frequently to maintain hydration and prevent dehydration *This will helps in bowel rest and recovery Encourage or give awareness to avoid the foods that promotes discomfort to the GI system includes :
