Based on the DiSC assessment, what is a personality style that you might have more difficulty working with? Why? What are some strategies you might implement to work more effectively with this particular personality?
DISC stands for four personality portraits, Dominance , Influence, Steadiness and conscientiousness.
Of these, person having steadiness can be a bit troublesome to work with. Because his behaviour will indicate he wants to work independently, might have low self confidence and the most problematic can be the fact that he often wants to know the details of every particular thing. If he is working in a group, he might take some time to adjust to the environment. He will feel troubled but the other team members will also get troubled because of his behaviour. When working as a group, it is required that every member must feel as a single unit, but the independent feeling of this person might get in the way. This could disturb the harmony of the group, hence the hindrance to the progress of project.
And also he might want to know the details of all the decisions taken by the administration, this could land himself in trouble.
To work with this kind personalities, a lot of steps must be taken beforehand. He must be trained carefully and convince him the need for working as a group. He must be made aware of the fact that he can still work independently in a group, by fulfilling the task assigned to him. The training regime must include management side topics, as these personalities learn all the technical details.
