Loop Diuretics group. Used to treat kidney diseases, oedema and hypertension.

ACTION

This prevents sodium absorption of kidney and enables pass to urine. And prevents water retention

Uses

• Promote sodium excretion
• Maintain blood pressure
• Treat edema

Sideeffect

• Diuresis ( excessive urination)
• Thirst
• Diarrhoea
• Hyponatremia
• Dizziness
• Weakness
• Muscle cramps

Contraindications

• Azotemia
• Hypovolemic
• Hypotension
• Severe kidney damage
• Andria

Toxicity

The overdose symptoms are

• Dehydration
• Hypovolemic shock
• Hypotension
• Metabolic disorders
• Electrolytes imbalance

Administration

The Normal dose are 20 to 80 mg.

Mostly using 40 mg

Administer via injection IV/ IV Infusion
