Randomized controlled trials (RCTs): These are evidence based clinical trials. The main aim of this trail is to make a fair comparison between the new treatment and the present existing treatment. But in some times more existing treatments are compared to see which one works best. Randomized controlled trials can represent the highest level of evidence.
Strengths:
By using this method we are able to assign and administer treatment or interventions in a precise and controlled way.
It is only type of study which is able to establish causation.
It decreases patient or observer bias.
By the use of RCT we can have subgroup analysis, which enhances usefulness for clinical practices.
Unselected patient populations are generalisable
Inexpensive
These studies are correctly designed with adequate power is gold standard

Compare and contrast a cohort study and a randomized trial
If you could come up with a randomized trial what two things would you put in your study?
Why is the randomized control trial a way to avoid confounding? Discuss examples of trials that would have avoided confounding had they be been conducted using randomized control design.

What is the best study to assess the effectiveness of an intervention in a randomized controlled trial?
1. When conducting a randomized clinical trial, participants are recruited and told about the study. 2. What is the critical step that must be taken prior to conducting any research procedures
Is the randomized controlled trial the ideal design for evaluating both the effectiveness and the side effects of new forms of intervention?
If you contrast case control study and randomized clinical trial, which could be the advantages and disadvantages of each one? Please elaborate your answer and provide references.
A randomized trial was conducted to evaluate the safety of a new psychotic medication one of the outcomes was whether or not a partipant in this study developed hypertension, measured as the average values of three blood pressures taken at each of the subsequeht clinic visits. all participantd were free of hypertension at the start of the study and randomized to receive either the new medication or the standard antipsychotic medication. Participants were followed for a maximum of five years...
Explain the differences between a research article (Randomized Controlled Trial) and a systematic review (SR) article. How can you tell them apart by quickly looking at them?
