Immunization is the process of getting immunised against disease by the administration of vaccine . They are three different types :-
- Live vaccine
- Killed vaccine
- Toxoid
Principles :-
Active immunity :-
protection produced by person's own immune system
Passive immunity:-
protection transferred from another person or animal; temporary protection that wanes with time
Antigen :-
live or inactivated substance (e.g., protein, polysaccharide) capable of producing an immune response
Antibody :-
protein molecules (immuno-globulin) produced by B lymphocytes to help eliminate an antigen
