Please help

For assigment teach ask to go interview a patient. After interview she give some question. Can you help me to answer these question

4. How did it feel to ask patient questions about their illness ? Especially the more personal ones that you wouldn’t have otherwise discussed?

7. Do you feel like this has helped introduce you to the role of a professional nurse interviewing a patient? Why or why not?

Answer 1

1.The communication was good.The patient accepted me as a nurse. He/she was willing to provide adequate information.

2.The cultural differences and unexpected questions from the client.

3.Before an interview I will make sure that all the informations regarding the client will be gathered. I will try to minimize the cultural and religious barriers. I need to update my knowledge to give proper education.

4.As it was a first time experience I had doubt regarding the client's response. However he/she responded well. I am happy and now I am confident enough to manage such situations.

5.Yes of course, as the patient changes, I need to change my interview strategy according to their illnesses and socio-cultural background.

6.As I mentioned before cultural barriers were one of the biggest challenges during the interview. Other than that the client's emotional status, severity of illness or pain, external stimuli such as hospital environment, trust in the health care professional can also affect the interview.

7.Yes it helped me a lot. Through this interview I made a therapeutic bond with the client so that he/she was ready to explore his feelings including some personal informations. And this experience gave me enough confidence to face such situations in future.
