1.Crystal monte is a 32 years old female,she had roux-en y gastric bypass surgery.it is also called Bariatric surgery where the upper stomach size is reduced through small incision in the abdomen.

A).before having this surgery client should be mentally prepared for all the side effects of this surgery.here monte already had this surgery.so after surgery approx for 1 to 2 weeks she has to take liquid food.then gradually semi solid foods are to be introduced as per surgeons order.monte has to take proper supplement tablets such as iron supplement,vit supplement,calcium supplement etc with food beacause after this surgery nutritional deficiencies can happen oftenly.proper diet should be maintained as per dietician chart.proper exercise should be done.psycological support should be given to monte for her changing lifestyle.

B)discharge instructions include proper intake of medicine timely,blood tests often after surgery,if the client is having any kind of fever,stomach pain,nausea etc immediately she has to consult the doctor.proper diet chart should be maintained for the first year..
