1) What should the team leader do to get the team's communications back on track?

Communication is the key to manage and facilitate the team. if communication is becoming a challenge for team leader then it can be back on track if team leader do methods like face to face communication in which team leader would be able to know what is the problem team members are facing.

Team leader should try to schedule meetings or discussion sessions from time to time to know the status of the tasks also this would help to build good relations with team members.

(2) What is the best way to handle problem team members during meetings?

the best way to handle problem during meetings is to facilitate the meeting effectively in which team leader should be able to lead the meeting with integrity, honesty, and fairness, team leader should listen views of everyone which would help to solve the conflicts and remove sense of insecurity from team members. proper communication should present between each members.

3) Does the team need more skills training, more communication structure, or outside facilitation?

I think team needs more communication structure because they are unable to communicate with each other. proper communication training like understanding and keep attentive to others and convey messages in effective way would help team to remove confusion and make team effective. this is also a cost effective way to make team back on track while more training and outside facilitation may not work also would increase the cost.

4) How to build trust within a team.

Trust can be build in a team by sharing common objectives which everyone agrees on. trust can be build by being fair, honest and truthful to each others. when team members are telling truths and showing fair and respectful behavior to each other then they all started to trust each others.
