Nurses can strengthen the critical thinking skills by active listening, thinking, and asking appropriate questions in their daily clinical practices.

Clinical Reasoning skills:

Clinical reasoning helps to identify the most appropriate problems, plan nursing interventions according to the problem identified, and to implement the plan properly. It helps the nurses to take decisions based on the patient outcomes and to use the best alternatives for the treatment plan. It helps the nurse to identify and correlate the patient problem with the underlying causes and to implement evidence-based practices in the clinical settings. Clinical reasoning makes the nurses to take a clinical decision based on ethics and principles.
