The steps involved in the organizing process are
- taking plans and goals into consideration- any process is done to accomplish some goal hence it is important before to understand the purpose of the process to execute it effectively.
- Identifying activities to be included in the process- it is important to determine the activities and task that will be helpful in accomplishing the objectives to make the process effective. The tasks will have to be further classified in the ones to be done ones and ones to be done on a continuous basis.
- classifying and grouping similar activities- the activities that require similar skills and are for a common objective are grouped together and departments for the same are established. Some examples of the same are finance, marketing, production and sales department.
- Assigning and delegating work to proper authority- After grouping activities, employees with skills of particular activities will be delegated work and departments accordingly and the ones with leadership qualities will be held as authority over those group of employees.
- Designing relationship hierarchy- The operating relationships work in a horizontal and vertical structure. The designing of the activities and channel of interaction in a way that each group knows whom they will report to and seek guidance from for the activities becomes clear.
