Part 1 Instructions for loading and unloading the TUBEX injector
1. Verify the order of physician by whom it is prescribed
2.working area should be well lighted quiet and clean.
3.perform medical aseptic method handwash and put on gloves.
4. Obtain a TUBEX injector and sterile cartridge needle unit.
5. Turn the ribbon collar to the open until stops turning.
6. Injector to be held with open end up and insert the TUBEX sterile cartridge needle unit.
7.Tight the ribbon collar in the direction of close arrow mark present.
8. Thread the plunger rod into the plunger of tube sterile cartridge needle unit until the resistance is felt.
9. After use do not recap the Needle.
10. Disengage the plunger rod.
11. Hold the injector with needle down , over sharp the container and loose the ribbon collar.
13. Remove the gloves
14. Again wash hands.
Part 2 mixing two medication in one syringe
1 . Verify physician order, gather the equipment.
2 . Know the pharmacology of the drug.
3.perform aseptic method of hand hygene.
4. Prepare medication for one patient at a time
5. Remove the cap that protect the self sealing stopper of vial.
6.If medication is a suspension roll it .
7. Scrub the self retaining stopper with antimicrobial and allow it to dry
8. Remove the Needle cap by pulling it straight off. Draw the exact same amount of air equal to the dose of modified insulin.
9. Inject the air into space above solution of modified vial
10 . Draw back the amount of air equal to the unmodified insulin.
11.inject the air above solution in the unmodified insulin vial not in solution keep the Needle in vial.
12 . Invert the vial of unmodified insulin . Draw the medication from the hand vertically at the eye level . Turn the vial over then remove the Needle.
13. Check for air bubbles . There should be no air bubbles
14. Match the amount and discard if surplus.
15. Invert the vial of modified insulin and draw the medication vertically at the eye label. Turn over the vial and take out needle carefully.
16 Cap the syringe and label after checking the dose as prescribed.
Part 3
1 Hand washing

3. Check medication labels
4.Remove plastic cover of diluent and expose the Rubber stopper.
5. Sterilize the rubber stopper with alcohol.
6. Obtain a sterile syringe with needle . And draw the amount of air exact as diluent.
7. Pirece the diluent and inject the air into it
8 invert the diluent and draw the exact amount of diluent as needful.
9. Pierce the rubber stopper of the medication and inject the diluent in it. Remove the syringe and needle.
10 Gently agitate the medication container so that it gets mixed properly.
