"Failing to plan is planning to Fail", relating to Health Care organizations.

There will be success only when there is a communication of the plan made.

Example : Centre for Medicare and Medicaid Services has certain guidelines to decide a case as Sepsis,Severe Sepsis or Septic Shock for the proper reimbursement to be made.So in order to get succeed with this, hospitals has to implement all the assessments, interventions and treatment with in 6 hour sepsis bundle frames. So all the United States Hospitals are almost cover their patients treatment by getting alerts from their own business entities. Those employees who work for the hospitals alert the facilities about missing bundles such as Antibiotics, Lactates , Blood cultures, Fluids etc. Thus making hospitals aware. But the system of alerting hospitals is a process which takes place by whole and sole communication. So the planning of alerting is as follows.

  • Employee picks a live case and identifies all the severe sepsis criteria.
  • Once the case met with severe sepsis , they check for all other bundles.
  • If any bundle was missed that will be alerted to the facility through the calls or alert emails.

This can be implemented only by proper communication and this planning. So " Failing to plan is planning to fail"
