(a) Compute the forces in the support rods AB and AE.
(b) Design the support rods, specifying the material and a suitable diameter.
(c) Compute the shearing forces in all six pins.
(d) Design the pins to be safe in shear, specifying the material and a suitable diameter.
(e) Check the pins you have designed for acceptable bearing stress. Assume that the mating material through which the holes are produced is stronger than the pin material. Specify the minimum required thickness of the mating part to provide adequate bearing area.
