William James considered the pragmatism as a cornerstone of the functionalism. He is the one, who coined term as pragmatism. According to him, judgment of behavior, belief and thought has to be done on the basis of its related consequences. One of the viewpoints of pragmatism says that, estimation of the truth has to be done according to its effectiveness under the changes in the circumstances.

Changes in the circumstances always pose their effect on the truth, so truth must be considered as the forever dynamics. Validity of an idea is always has to be judged according to the usefulness of the idea under pragmatism. Pragmatism is to follow the senses or logic, willing to take anything and to count the most personal and humblest experiences.

Mystical experiences are always considered under practical consequences. Pragmatism is may be considered as a way to clarify epistemological and intractable metaphysical disputes. Pragmatism is the most logical way for dealing with some problems. It is the belief that pragmatism is the best criteria for the determination of the validity of any concept or fact.
