Information collected about any event or occurrence is termed as data. The data can be in the raw form or processed form. The data has to be properly interpreted to understand the pattern (design) of the event.
There are various ways, which the data can be organized. Two of such ways include table and graph. However, among these two forms, graphical data can be more informative than the tabular data. This is because table contains the data organized in the tabular form, where as in a graph data is represented as a visual pattern.
Thus, graph helps us to recognize the pattern (design) of the information, which is actually difficult to observe in the table. Such pattern makes it easy, for the biologist to even understand the complex data in a very simple way.
