Using given imformation we want to find, the following probabilities,

a) P(male OR degree in field)

= P(male) +P(degree in field) - P(male AND degree in field)

= (770858 / 1786614) + (309153/1786614) - (174770/1786614)

= ( 770858 + 309153 - 174770) / 1786614

= 905241 / 1786614

= 0.507

Therefore, the probability is 0.507

b) P(female OR degree outside of filed)

= ( 1015756 + 1477461 - 881373) / 1786614

= 1611844 / 1786614

= 0.902

Therefore, the probability is 0.902

c) P(not female OR degree outside of field)

= ( 770858 + 1477461 - 596088) / 1786614

= 1652231 / 1786614

= 0.925

Therefore, the probability is 0.925
