Management skills needed to develop a productive team are:

1. Communication skills: It reflects the ability of a person to express the views or thoughts to others. A team leader such as manager must have excellent communication skills in order to motivate the team members for high productivity and also effectively communicate company's policies to team members. A good manager is able to reduce stress, anguish of his/her teammates through efficient communication skills.

2. Confidence: It is also personality trait of an individual. Individuals having high confidence level can effectively manage their resources and time to achieve the desired objective. Similarly, a manager with high confidence level is very clear with his/her work objective and works with his subordinates to achieve the set objective of the company. As a manager, you shall also understand your own weaknesses through feedback of persons working in your team. This will further enhance your confidence level at workplace.

3. Impartiality: As a company director or manager, it is your utmost duty to treat all employees of your company without any partiality and undue favor. This will eliminate discrimination of employees in the company and enhance mutual trust and cooperation among employees and lead to high productivity.

4. Problem Solving and Adaptability: A leader such as managers or directors must also be adaptive to changes and quick problem solvers. To do this a business leader must have good problem solving skills and ability to bring transformation in the company with passage of time. You must have ability to solve complex problems of your employees for smooth and uninterrupted productivity of your company. When new technology is developed that increases the cost and maximizes cost efficiencies in the business of your interest, you must bring in that technology in your company. You should also arrange training sessions for your employees to learn about new technology and adapt themselves into new productive environment.

5. Vision: As a business leader, you must have a clear vision of your company i.e., what is your company's objective? How you will devise your company policies for your employees to achieve the objectives? Leaders with clear vision are able to effectively manage the team members and implement the company policies in different departments. Lack of directions from a manager make the employees confused about job roles and this leads to decrease in employee productivity.
