Define the problem: Before any initiation of things, the problem should be define and the level of the problem.

Identifying risk and protective factors: After defining the problem the next thing is to identify the risk, or the harm that can occur due to the problem. Then find out the route cause of the problem and how the measures can be taken to prevent the risk or harm.

Develop and test prevention strategies: Development of preventing strategy means plan out the prevention and ideas to deal with the adverse phase of the problem.

Assurance of injury prevention: At last to find out the assurance of the injury prevention where it is confirmed that injury can be diverted or stopped and plan has been successfully executed.

People are more prone to unintentional injury as for example if a person is walking on the footpath but still many of the vehicles are trying to bypass towards the footpath. It may harm to the people walking on footpath. So, implementation of the public health for prevention of health injury can be done by putting sign board or make fine to prevent vehicles to be on footpath.

Public health use the term unintentional injury because it is not intentionally done, the injury occurs without any prior intention or plan made by the second person.
